Been using Shawn Curry's FHC saw buck for years. Its been bandaided several time and wasn't holding up to my abuse. I searched on here and on the net. I really liked what fuelrod had done with his table but wanted something a slight different in table wise. So after a couple of months and a couple of cigar BS session my buddy and I developed a plan. 2x4's was the plan, but 2x6's was just a bit more, so went with the 6's...Its about 8' long with 11 Xbraces... hopefully it'll last me for a while... Already have a couple of mods that are needed but they should be easy add on's...

    My goals for this was:

    1) Move with my tractor forks
    2) Cut 16"-18" without cutting 2x's
    3) Not have to worry about going through the wood and cutting a cross member
    4) Be heavy enough for decent size wood and the abuse of putting them on with the tractor
    5) Be able to slide my forks through the space to drop the wood on the table

Sometimes it works out on the forks. But I really hate the unsecure part of knowing the log drop when cutting through. I'd rather have it on a secure platform. Thats why I really didn't even care for the original one. It had three point of hold and having to think of how to cut to keep the balance was always interesting.

Actually not even close to that... I probably have $300 in lumber in $75 in screws and $40 in cigars.... and still have 2 - 2x6x8 left over...

Circular saw … made a bunch of thin sections… started out using a chisel to knock them out and the clean the pocket out. Then my buddy had a bright idea of using his oscillating tool… made things go much faster… then glued and screwed them together…
