Stihl MS 241CM on Fakebook

Cruising on FB Marketplace a few days ago and stumbled on the ad for the 241. Very lightly used and extra clean, seller said they needed to sell in order to purchase a Stihl 201 top handle. Price $400. I thought on this too long and now shows “pending”. Would have quickly sold my MS250 to offset the difference. Was a bit of a drive from me but likely will not see this saw offered around here again

Looking for a 241 myself since Eggshooterist wont sell me his
Seldom offered and $400 a decent price for a slightly used one. I may settle for an 024 super.

Those 241s definitely have a cult like following from certain people. I bought one new, sold it and wanted another so I found another new one while I could.

My friend had a customer hounding him for one, and I resisted. I did find him a new one from a member on AS... I consider myself lucky to have one even though I don't use it much. It's a great trail saw.

 

I agree on the rear handle 201. I have both. Ran them stock 6-10 tanks and now ported. Had I gotten the 241 first I wouldn't have the 201. I like it but I either grab the XS2511p for trimming trails, limbing ect. or the 241 / Makita DCS401 for anything over 4-5". Europe still gets them. I was about to try and get a Greek one when this one was offered up by JimBear .

 

i can take the 241 off your hands so the 201 gets more use. Gotta be an equal opportunity cutter.
