How would you go about resolving this. It’s only been stuck for about a month, so that helps, right?

That would probably do the trick if’n you could get that rig to it in the swampy meadows ground.
Even though the ground is frozen, it’s only froze 4-6” with a swamp underneath the crust.

 

than this would probably be about the best time, come spring it sounds like it might disappear.
I'd get another one of those, start digging the high end out and lots of board mats. No fun trying to chink away frozen mud from them tracks.
No experience I've watched a guy on youtube pull these out, most were in swampy ground.
Most importantly someone that knows what they are doing so you don't end up with 2 buried.

Plant some flowers around it and call it a day.

Woof...that's a rough one...I think I'd bring in another machine to help dig out the high side a little, then use it to pull the stuck machine a little more upright before trying to start it...then between the two, use some timbers, mats, even some logs to provide a little support.
I recall an episode of Swamp Loggers where Simitro (SP?) was able to dig his way out with the feller by grabbing logs and shoving into the mud all around him until he was able to climb/push up n out...impressive because he was in deep enough that they were concerned about water on/in the engine!

 

Best bet is as others have said; another machine, some mats or logs. Mats would be preferable. Contact an oilfield supply company or crane/lift company to find some if you are unsure where to find them.

That might not look as bad once the snow is gone....might have slipped into a hole and then the snow drifted around it.... I'm sure the operator is still puckered up though!

 

Definitely take video of it, the one I posted has over 21m views ! someone could pay for that recovery and buy a piece of new equipment if they get that many views.

I got stuck clearing treesThe machine in the pictures at the start of this thread was loaded onto a grossly inadequate trailer and will be hauled out tomorrow to attempt to retrieve the smaller one. Only plan to get the 345 on site and unloaded tomorrow. The 345 will have to travel nearly a mile to the stuck machine from the only suitable place to get a truck and be able to unload.

One of my biggest concerns is that the boss is not going to charge enough for this endeavor. There is already around 70 man hours in just the prep work and getting the 345 loaded up and into town.

Maybe I'm missing something but.....
If it's in just 4-6" of frozen ground and the rest is in swamp wouldn't it be safer long lining it with a few spaced out smaller machines?
I'm picturing a large machine pulling hard breaking through.

 

I had to be out of town so I didn’t get to see it, but they got it out. I guess the 345 excavator could budge and shake it but it was tipped over to far. So they used a wrecker anchored to an old deuce and a half 6x6 to get ahold of the boom to hold it up right, then was able to lift and pull with the 345. I wish I had been able to be there. Would have been some valuable experience

My first thought when I saw the picture was "was I the operator?" If so, I guess I would be looking for a job.
