I just like to look haha. You find lots of clean older rigs in places where stuff doesn't rust.

spent most of the day splitting wood I had cut some time ago. At the moment the house has several air movers and dehumidifiers drying out from the pipe break Christmas Eve day. Split the standing dead ash I had cut down by the forester. It is going to a woman friend who was some kind of wood stove in her basement, but no real source for firewood. I normally only css for myself, be she has been my political guide through three elections.

Plumping repaired. Tomorrow the restoration company will asses what needs to be removed and replace. At this point, the minimum is sub floors in three rooms. will see about drywall and ceilings.

Getting adjusted to retirement and the idea I can play in the wood without having to get it done in a day off, then back to work.

I've been wondering how that mess has been coming along. Soon you'll think you have a new room or two. Let me know how long it takes to adjust to retirement! :D

From lack of use?

I got a call last night from an old friend in the UP. Said they have been busy moving snow out of driveways but have really been a bit below normal snowfall at their place.

If it wasn't for rust, I'd still have the first truck I ever had. Only lost one vehicle so far to mechanical failure, my 1500 dollar Kia Rio.

There are exceptions I'm sure, but it seems like in your general region, you see a lot of horribly rusted bodies, but here the frame more often rusts out before body rust becomes crippling. Not sure why that is.

I am still trying to recover. Home physical therapy to do an eval Tuesday. Still very short of breath, and exhausted. My diet is so limited. Weight is down 25 lbs from mid Nov. I think most of that was fluid they took off with diuretics

We had two different hospital buildings take a beating. Tied up one company's entire stock of equipment. At the moment I have endured 24/7 sound of air movers and dehumidifiers downstairs. They were supposed to remove them today, but I suspect they are covered up still. Once they retest the moisture, I will have an idea of the demolition. He said he has no issue with another company doing it as he wouldn't get to us until June, and isn't trying lo lock up all the business.

I have become friends with the guy who built our outdoor living area. I wouldn't doubt he would put me on his payroll and i can do the tear-out.

I managed to get some firewood cut today and a few chores and errands. Just quit and got cleaned up. Almost time to go to an All County Concert that my youngest daughter is singing in. Should be a relaxing afternoon and evening. Hope you hoarders have a good rest of your Saturday.

moon lite night @ 11:30 PM
    [IMG]
It always amazes me how some nights are so dark you can't see your hand in front of your face, and other nights, you can see for miles. The snow cover, moon phase, and cloud cover are the factors. Notice how short the shadows are in this picture.

Small shawdos due to the fact that the moon was high in the sky....about 5 hours after moon rise.

Real bright here too; no lighting needed for anything last night!

There was a fantastic sunset yesterday but as usual, no pics from me. I noticed it a bit too late anyway.

Hope to get some pics this evening. :handshake:

I have a gas pump that I’ve moved from place to place for 20+ years. There a story there. 3 divorces, a cabin on pikes peak, a houseboat in Oklahoma, and various RV parks that pump and I have shared.
Ten years or so a go I fished a monstrous red light out of a dumpster from a wind turbine site I was working on.
Today, I finally got to do what I had had in my head for the last ten years.
It turned out good I think. [IMG]
