I have been waiting for a chance to get the new saw out to the cut block but the weather just has not cooperated.
All the wood that was cut for the old Jetstream is 2 inches too long so I made a jig in the basement to shorten it. Woodwidow took a video of both saws doing the same thing. There is no comparison - the new 300 Stihl really snorts!

With the new boiler one jig of wood is good to heat our house and all our domestic hot water for 3 days.

That 300 certainly rocks compared to the 220. Congrats, that's impressive! Shortening that amount of wood... bummer!

That really cuts down (pun intended) on your time spent shortening those splits! How many cuts can you make on one charge?

Quite a difference. Im really curious how the pro saw battery lasts.
Great that you can cut indoors too.

Got out today to get a load of wood roughly half a cord 64 cubic feet of Western Hemlock half of that a log 18 " in diameter the second log 14 " in diameter . The saw had a 20 inch bar and a sharp chain and used just under three AP 500 S batteries with the saw in maximum speed mode . Three batteries for half a cord is what I hoped for !
Hope to get Woodwidow out with me for a load at spring break and get some video for buZZsaw BRAD!

Agree! The sound factor alone would open up some places to get some wood that's been laying far too long.

I wonder how the Milwaukee cordless would compare to the 300.
I have a lot of tools that are team red(Milwaukee) and have been considering one but worried it would be a disappointment for the money.

That 300 kicked some butt. My wife would kill me if I was cutting wood in the basement. Lmao.

The 300 holds its own against the ms 261 so I'm going to use it for my main firewood saw in wood up to 20 " diameter . The saw and 3 batteries was a major investment .
The Milwaukee makes sense If you have the batteries and its going to be used for limbing as a back up to a bigger gas saw .

It was really nice to go woodcutting and not have to wear hearing protection.
This is my 220 in action!

Been out twice with the MSA 300. First time I had 18 " and 14" logs for half a cord on less than 3 batteries. Second time out, I had 24" and 14" logs on just 2 batteries and a bit for half a cord. It has the power to be able to use it like a real saw!
