I have a much older version of the Heritage. I see the look hasn't changed much. It's still a pretty stove. With your chimney height, just keep the fires small until you get an idea of what kind of draft you'll be getting with your setup. That way, even if the fire takes off, it won't send you into panic mode if there's less in there to burn. I'm sure you'll enjoy that stove and the lovely soapstone heat.

    Appreciate the guidance, fellas!

Certainly the biggest potential issue with the install is in my venting - at 31', it's a lot. I don't have a damper in the intake or exhaust, just the stove's damper. On my second break-in fire this morning, I saw a lot more impact from the stove's damper position. I assume because there was more wood to burn, so therefore more influence with air input.

The good thing with the longer chimney is DRAFT. Not issues there, so no smoke to really worry about and fires start easy.

I guess in a couple months I'll write a review of the stove itself... likes and dislikes, so anyone in the future who's shopping around can consider.

In the meantime, happy heating season.

Especially with that tall chimney if it gets windy.
