A long while ago I was doing some independent contracting. A client had a house originally built on perimeter Cedar logs and Cedar posts throughout the minimal crawlspace. A remodel had replaced the perimeter logs with a concrete block foundation with no access door (the crawlspace was only about 14" high). The posts were rotting away so my job was to tunnel under the foundation and make enough trenches under the crawl to replace all the posts with concrete pads and treated lumber. We could travel, in the trenches, all around under the house on hands and knees. While trenching we ran into the tile bell and spigot concrete pipes which led to the septic tank. An "all brawn and no brains" laborer whom I had hired thought the pipes were a big rock in the way and attacked them with a pick. Long story short, the entire trench system was flooded with septic sewage.:hair: Some vintage from the tank and some fresh before we got the pipes replaced. The project was completed but it was the chitiest job I ever worked on!:fart: I can exactly identify with the convict in the cartoon!
