You need an electrical engineering degree to figure out all these new appliances. Many of them connect online to the manufacturer. Keurig makes a coffee maker that orders more coffee, filters and cleaner, automatically, over the internet.
I don’t think they used a ruler or a level when they built mine too. Doing our bathroom over was an experience.
Well, another first in my 54 years of life today.. got to remove porky quills from holly's face. Not a fun experience for either of us. I'm hoping it will be a one time thing. Not a terribly large amount.. around 25-30.. I wasn't counting or taking pics.. just concerned about her. Still a su##y experience.
It got up to 60* here today...weatherman said if you go off of "real feel" temps today was 100* warmer than last Friday!
Do not to be surprised if you find more quills in a week or two as they work their way out. They can be surprisingly hard to find, especially if they go deep enough. Had a white dog roll on a dead one (I assume it was dead to get rolled on anyway). Tips of quills are white. I pulled out quill after quill after quill along his shoulder, front leg and ribs (he was a red dog by the time I was finished). Ran my hand all around trying to feel tips of missed quills. Found quills backing out for weeks. Had another dog try to pick up a baby porcupine with her mouth. Baby quills are soft so even harder to pull. They were all in her mouth and down to her throat. Spent hours assisting the vet in getting them out (he did the work, I monitored the sedation, pushing more when needed and helped spot quills).
Today is the day of the huge gathering here. Just enjoying some peace and quiet before it all comes to an end. A little over two dozen will show up; maybe as many as 30! All inside! So if you know of anyone dining alone on this New Years Eve, please let us know.....we need chairs! Pulled pork and home made ravioli on the menu. Lots of eats and treats brought in by the guests also. Yesterday, some trolls (people who live below the bridge ) showed up. First thing the two girls did was put on their snow clothes and play outside for 3 hours or so, nothing but wet ground where they're from. Then they came inside, cleaned up, ate, and that was pretty much it. One laid down and fell asleep and the other went asleep shortly after. This was early for them. Nice to have kids around! Took the bernese quite awhile to accept the "strangers" to the house but all seems good now. Well, at least until they wake up and start moving around, I think the dog may have forgotten they are here! The lab warmed up right away and wouldn't leave the two girls sides!
At today's GTG, I think sometime after everyone asks for the wifi password, I'll shut it off! Happy New Year FHC!
Here it is Dec 31, had a low of 50* out last night...all heaters sit here cold, been 24 hrs since making a fire...1 week ago I was running full tilt! Goofy weather...
Same here Dave. Weird. I have 53* right now. Just came in from some gutter clearing and pallet organizing and broke a sweat. Only had a t-shirt and sweatshirt on. My staging area keeps creeping closer to the road
Happy Birthday to whomever's day this really is. The list showing is huge and someone mentioned years ago that the system just assigns the first of the year if a user doesn't spcify.
January 1st the stove is cold, boiler is turned off and there are windows open. Interesting way to start the year.
I know a lot of people that don't want to share their birth date just pluck today into the system. Might fire up the splitter today, if the ground will support its weight. More rains upped the mud season ante.
