Yea today lol there was a load of 3 year oak in a barn I could not turn down could not turn it down the oak I took to him was cut last of may and he is guna bburn
That's definetly you truck. I'm sure you didn't tell your friend about your new mastermind 261 coming
My number 1 wood in the world but a little time to work up 3 loads vs back into barn and load up 3 rear old In my mind I come out
Love me some white oak....from the way it splits, the way it smells when cutting and splittling, the way it burns and heats.....Good stuff for sure.....
Good thing its on his permision land and his splitter plus 5 more loads on the ground I will at least get 2 of them. 1st load in basement.
Wow Griz, you hit the jackpot on this one for sure. On the 3-1 split, that is how I sold a bunch of wood many moons ago.
Thanks I love it like no other. I took a bunch of pictures busting ect and like always only 1 would send others said to big to send. I dip copenhagen wintergreen and it smells just like fresh cut white oak.
My back yard still smells like white oak that I finished restacking Sunday. It's also a great smoking wood
You sure it wasn't peppermint/black birch? - that stuff is pleasant splitting(from my youth with a maul)
290 has been my saw for many years now but after a little accident I also picked up a little 180. My wife had been after me for years to get a small lightweight saw at least for cutting the limbs. Back was hurting so bad I finally broke down and got one and absolutely love it. It is like a toy but I'm amazed at how much work it can do. I've even tested it on some 30" oak and it did just fine. A little slower naturally than the 290 but I'll still take it.
