Couldn’t of asked for a better spot, I could roll my 4wheeler with trailer right up to it. It is also right ready for the burn.
I'd say that's a woodburner's jackpot haul there! I've been burning black locust the past 7 days straight with temps bottoming out at the -5° F mark (wind chills in the -20's), the wood is 5 year seasoned and it puts out a ton of heat!
I installed my stove in January of 2021. This is my first winter burning good seasoned black locust. It’s crazy how much more heat comes off this stuff comparing it to my usual oak. Does anyone else burn the locust bark? I feel like it’s also a great heat source. Waste not want not!
Yea, but the bark can really stink! Worst smelling stuff out there when burning as far as wood is concerned (willow comes in a close second place).
Yes sir, ones in the kitchen and one is way out over the garage ell, on the second floor at my one sons bedroom, at the furthest point away from the heat sources.
BL is by far my favorite wood to burn. I only have about 5 cords. I need to stack more and more and more and more...
Today was another beautiful day to be cutting, I called my neighbor about a few trees that were laying. He said come on down and I tell ya the price was right. It started like this: Then cut: Then loaded: Then home:
Quick, hide that BL. buZZsaw BRAD has spotted it already... You've gotten a lot done in a couple days... Nice work...
