Farm estate closing out and picked through 100+ years of history. Found some stuff to clean up and decorate the barn a little with, and mark our driveway entrance. Some old saws I plan to clean up, some wagon wheels and hay rake wheels, got a push mower to beat on my woods with, a little blower for sidewalk stuff, some 30 weight oil for mixing in bar oil if it gets very cold, boxes. bucket of coal with coal still in it, and all kinds of sundries. $150 for all. Fun picking through it, though some hot work today.
Nice find! Love the small coal bucket and the wagon wheels are really nice.... Glad I wasn't there or I would have run the price up on us for the wagon wheels! I think I have the same jumper cables too. There pretty decent gauge wire.
was surprised on mower and blower, but dumped gas, on both, refilled, new oil, little starter fluid and they both ran well.
Looks like a nice cache of goodies there....dare I ask if you're gonna paint the "FHC" logo on the misery whip? Lol I love that kind of stuff, been looking for a good wooden wagon wheel for my wife for YEARS now, if you wanna sell one I'm your guy. That'd give me an excuse to come down and visit up with ya buddy!
That reminds me,will have to start checking a couple local auctioneer's websites + local classified newspaper ads for a sale or two once my weekends are free again soon.... Few more old saws & other stuff I'm wanting, though I sincerely doubt they'll be found locally. That don't keep me from searching though!!!
Hey, for a Keystone Stater, we can do business. I was only planning on using two, you want a pair and are gonna be in my area, I will hook you up. Sons at college now, so might even have enough food around to feed you! Let me know. P.S. Wheels are wood rim, steel edge, some wood decay but look good to me, and they must weigh 80 to 100 pounds each. Roughly 40-45" inches high. I was just going to clean up and repaint and place them as part of a display to my mark my otherwise unmarked driveway. Greg
Well if you want them keep them.......if you wanna sell one or two, I'm your guy bud! I'm game for a trip down your way soon....wanna go to Gettysburg sometime this fall for the day.
Another funny part is the box of shingles in the back part of the picture. I got them for starter. They are cedar i think, and were kept in the attic of one of the buildings for maybe 50 summers. Must be 1% moisture. Hauled them in back of truck in case the sunlight set them off hauling them home.
