Good deal Ron T . I didn't make it out, had too much family Christmas to work on as did my hunting partner when he called last night. Muzzleloader I guess.

Are you in the "central farmland" area of Wisconsin? I have 3 doe tags for down here in the southern farmland zone that I most certainly won't use. If my wife would give venison a chance I think she'd like it, and then I'd be filling at least 1 of those free doe tags.

Snow sure makes them come out later.
It's a set time, and it's adjusted to how far east or west you are in the state. Also there's a difference in legal hunting hours depending on if you were in the northern or southern parts of the state. For example today the southern part of the state has an 8 minute longer shooting time at the end of the day than in the north. It's a little complicated.

When the snow is on the ground, it essentially extends the daylight and our hunting hours are not revised. That said, there's plenty of deer technically shot after hunting hours are done in this state when there's snow on the ground.

I should do that in my yard and get one of those short range guns that identifies as a bow. They are are effective. I'm just worried about a hit deer going into a neighbor's yard that would get freaked out. The last buck I got bow hunting dropped pretty much in it's tracks. But that's pretty rare. A great double lung pass through with a broadhead can have a 10 yard trot and drop effect too.

Yes, still have muzzleloader. I think I'm done killing as this one will top off the freezer. I will probably go to camp for muzzleloader and man the kitchen along with drinks.

I could barely fit another deer in our freezer space, but would like to get one for my hunting partner.

You guys remember that 192" Wisconsin buck I posted pics of in late October?
The kid is a professional photographer and made a 27 minute video of his trials and tribulations and harvest.

I can hear semi truck tires howling on the Interstate in the distance
