18/68 without the blower running.
Oak working its magic. I'll mix some BL in when I get home from work.

 

35 and 70 this mornng. A mix of red oak and cherry keeping the house warm. Rained overnight with more expected today. Might get some snow tomorrow.

This is what happens when you have your thermostat set at 62°f on a cool day. lol. Getting the house up to a decent temperature with alligator juniper and az white oak to follow.

 

30°f outside.
Sitting on the couch w my pitbull, lab and daughter watching tv and her shows on the tablet.
Stove and dog farts has the house at 71°f.

 

Loaded the stove at 6:30 am: 14/64
got home at 7:30 pm: 27/58, think i burned some oil
Darn dog will just lay there and curl up tighter and tighter to keep warm. We'd both be a lot happier if he'd load the stove when I'm late.

 

I've got the same problem with my dog. Loves the benefits but won't load the stove. If anything, he's carrying off the splits.

About 18. Just loaded a mix of Ash, Elm, Beech, and what looked like Butternut. Some of this stuff is from two winters ago that I bought (Better BTUs) and mixed in with firewood from my property.

 

38F here with the same miserable east wind still blowing. Advisory goes into effect at 10:00 PM. Never did rain or do anything else. Boiler loaded with Oak, waiting to see how many blow down calls I get tomorrow.

2 splits of shagbark hickory, 2 splits walnut and the rest was chestnut oak. Probably waking up to a mix bag.

 

26/71 burning down coals with pine

 

27 at home. Spruce and hickory went on last night's coals for an easy relight.

 

23 this morning. Wood Gun still warm enough from last night’s load. I will be adding Pine and Spruce to burn some more of that quick burning stuff up today. Will be refilling the firewood bin in the basement as well today. Snowstorm coming later tonight and through Saturday morning. They are guessing 8-12”. Will put the plow on later today.

 

This is great better than weather channel! A few degrees cooler than theburtman close enough

then Gasifier tells me what weather will be in 4 hours and tomorrow

 

Well, the storm we were supposed to get yesterday never did materialize. Go figure.

We did get some rain from the east wind and that gave a skim coast of ice over everything but it didn't snow until later and no significant amount at that. Looking out there now, its snowing but I see it sticking to the branches which is bad news. It'll get too heavy and then there goes the power. Probably 2" so far.

Low of 13°f this morning, 71°f inside. More white oak cooking.

 

23 and a dusting of snow. Hope the Transit Connect can make it to work.

 

Looks like a big cold snap next week. Might be down to 0 next Friday night.
