Heading down to pickup this new to me Polaris 700. Owner just spent 2K for a full dealer go through.

Soon I’ll be adding an ATV log trailer to it and start really moving logs down to the landing for processing.

Anbody else hauling logs with their ATVs? Recommendations on a trailer brand (less log arch more open trailer type)?

What kind of terrain are you going to be running through? Hilly or flat? Trails or no?

Very hilly, basically a mountain side. I do have the ability to switch back my way up, traction should t really be a major issue.

I would think a lighter trailer with aggressive trail tires would fit the bill.

This is what I used for a couple years. The box easily pops off and the trailer becomes a log carrier. Has a 400lb. hoist that doubles as a lift for dumping the box. Also has a walking axle for climbing over rugged terrain. 20190926_183235.jpg 20191115_112150 (2).jpg

Are you hauling full length logs, or rounds? I use my 500HO sportsman for hauling rounds all the time.

Congratulations! That looks like a nice one! I ran an Artic Cat 500 and trailer on a very steep property for about ten years. You will quickly learn how much you can haul with your machine. I can second what Holland Dell said, get a trailer with a "walking axle". I used a cheap single axle trailer at first and it was a pain on the trails. The walking axle crawls over uneven terrain. It is also more stable and as a result more wood arrives at the destination.

I do have a 3'x5' wagon that I beefed up a bit, it works good. I'd just rather bring the logs up to the house to buck and split, easier for me.

I have a Polar 1300. Great trailer for hauling firewood.
