Just stopped by both today in the Newburgh area, and both have pellets. HD had the nasty Green Supreme (aka NEWP), but Lowes had the Timber heat. Didn't ask at HD, but Lowes is at $237.50/ton.

BTW, got an email from Robbie at Greene team last week and a shipment was leaving the plant for this area today.

Local TSC in Pine Bush has pellets, along with the local Pro Hardware.

Guys - For those of you that have found AWFs at TSC - are they bagged in AWF or TSC bags? Anyone have a recent picture? I want to keep an eye out just in case my local TSC ever gets any. Unlikely, but you never know. Lately, they are stocked with mostly MWP, Nations Choice, and Green Supremes. All of the Lowes and HDs in my area are getting Green Supremes and North Americans. I got a little excited when one HD worker said they had some "Ultra something or other" pellets, but they were all sold. Guessing he meant FSUs which I've never see around here either. Just my luck. Oh, almost forgot - if the AWFs are in TSC bags, what's the UPC? Thanks!

I'd love to get 3 or 4 tons of those in the basement but I know that's wishful thinking.

Thanks Jay. How's this for a kick in the pants? I took the attached picture of a pallet sitting in the entryway of my local TSC in early January 2014. I remember sending the picture to my friend with the joking caption, "What the heck are these?" I had never seen them before, and the brand name is not prominently displayed on the bag. I can now also recall him sending me a picture from his TSC store a couple months later during peak of the shortage insanity. It was a mess of humanity, partial pallets everywhere and people plundering them like mad. They were the very same bags. Funny how you don't realize these things until so much later. Well, I guess the good news is that my local TSC has carried them at least once in the past. Maybe they will have them again one day, I will definitely be keeping a lookout for them. Smacking self in head.

Got another email from Mike at Greene Team. Should be another truck load getting delivered to the Newburgh Lowes around the 19th of Sept.

I burned 2 tons of those. A good, solid pellet. Except for the coldest nights, they did fine by me. Might want to grab 2/3 of what you think you'll need for the winter in those, and then maybe the other 1/3 in something "hotter". The Greene Teams will be probably be more $$, but there's no guarantee the Somersets will show up in our area.

The stove shop up on rt. 9w has Hamers Hot Ones right now, but he's always $$$.

I, maybe wrongly so, lump TSC in with the Big Boxes. I know their supply of the pellets might not be the exact brand you prefer, but hey, any port in a storm, and some "so-so" pellets are better than none at all! Of course, I advocate dealing with your local intelligent, good-looking, and helpful hearth dealer first........don't see a lot of big box folks here posting.........why dat?

It looks like Lowes is just starting to ramp up their inventory for the season. In the last two weeks, I started getting notification emails from Greene Team regarding lots of shipments.
