Needed some bologna and scrapple :D… and 14-15 in that clover plot on the farm means the other 14-15 were in the main field crushing my cover crop… and the other 14-15 were milling in the woods. It will be a doemageddon the next few weeks. Its a good thing I like deer hunting haha

I dont but several of the deer processors in this area do. I dont cut my deer, whacking as many as I do in a year, it would seem like a full time job!

Would be interested in seeing what venison scrapple tastes like. How many doe you kill a year?

spicy mushy meat, LOL. Its not great…. But I need variety, them buggers eat my fields up, so I eat them up. Our farm is the true definition of the circle of life, to fulfill that prophecy- I wish to have my ashes mixed in the planter when the beans or corn go in when Im gone, except in a way I guess I would more or less end up as chicken feed HAHAHA, oh well!

THE illness kept me out of the 9 day WI hunt but I am confident I’ll fill a doe tag in our 4 day antlerless hunt going on now.

Glad you got healed up. Good luck filling the freezer. I like the doe hunt, there's a lot less pressure on the deer.

Yes but since I’m gonna spend the time dressing and processing, I want to take a good size doe. Tonight I saw a bunch but all yearlings.

Still seeing lots of little yearlings early evening but the big doe have been coming out after last legal shooting time. Believe it or not, this photo is 10 minutes after last shoot time.

Yeah that snow sure brightens things up. You have a lot more than we have here in central Wisconsin.

Tomorrow is last day of rifle season in PA. There is 2nd archery and flintlock (which I don't do) after Christmas, but I would like to be done tomorrow. Just would like another doe. And not one of the yearlings I've been seeing everyday.

Does yalls legal shooting time end at actual sunset, not 30 minutes after (usually when it actually gets dark here)? That's what it looks like. Round here, she wouldn't have left that field.......

good luck.....we have next weekend yet for normal gun season here. Muzzle loader in early Jan. I enjoy getting out for muzzle season and late bow which goes into Feb just to see the deer that normally group up in a bigger group late season.

January and February are my favorite time to be out and see them starting to congregate.
