Rest in Peace Christine. I always liked Fleetwood Mac - Members of the rock group Fleetwood Mac, from left, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie pose with their Album of the Year Grammy Award for "Rumours" in Los Angeles, Feb. 23, 1978. Christine McVie, the soulful British musician who sang lead on many of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest hits, has died at 79. The band announced her death on social media Wednesday.
Hard to believe she was 79 and now she's gone. Loved her singing and songwriting, less famous than Stevie, but great talent.
My buddy has this poster hanging in his man-cave. He was fortunate to attend this "bar" performance of Fleetwood Mac at a tavern in Madison, WI on State Street named Dewey's in 1971. This was just after Jeremy Spencer left the band. He believes pictured are Christine Perfect (McVie), Peter Green, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood and not certain on the fourth male. My buddy was a fan of Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac was his newly formed band.
