Lit her up tonight. Me, mrs piney, baby piney and a good friend enjoying this beautiful night. Got a mix of red/white oak and cedar burnin. Sure smells good!
Lookin good piney....the wife, myself and the 7month old pup just came in from the pit. Beautiful night here for a fire, lots of stars and hardly any breeze, 65ยบ
Thanks guys. And @Scotty Overkill , you weren't kiddin about cookin over a pit! I wasn't really hungry but decided to toss some coals under the grates and cook some dogs. I even toasted the buns on the back grate. I took one bite and told the wife to sell the grill!
The start of many fires, good eats, and family fun for many, many years. Food pictures request next time you cook on it!
Sorry WS i was too busy burnin my fingers rollin those dogs. Had to keep reachin for my beer to cool em off . Supposed to have some friends over tonight and cook some clams. I'll be sure to throw a few on the pit and snap a pic for ya!
Yessir! 206 south, left at the blueberries and corn, then you'll be at my place. Wharton state forest is about a 1/4 mile from my driveway. Should have about 300 or so to get boiled and grilled tonight. Stop on down!
Left at the church in the split in tabernacle? Oh, if I wasn't moving stuff for my grandmother, I'd be there!
Hey @Well Seasoned , cooked close to 200 clams tonight. Wind was in your direction, could ya smell em?
No, never heard of that..... ya know what.... i think i did! Pit looks awesome bro! Thats some good eaten there. Did you melt enough butter for all them?
Darn right! Butter and hot sauce . And the Picalilli is a bar/restaraunt around here known for their wings. Let's just say i can get there on the utv
That pit looks great! I love well made Buffalo wings. My weakness. Back in '75 I visited a friend outside of Buffalo, and he took me the to Anchor Bar in Buffalo which is where the original was created. My first impression was so-so but boy I've learned to enjoy them occasionally.
That'll be the first of MANY evenings you cook on that. We cook on the pit sometimes several nights a week......at least once a week all spring summer and fall, and every couple weeks in the winter!! Your pit looks fantastic, you done good friend!
