We ended up with about a foot of snow which kind of started to melt and then froze hard. Drifts on the back porch were over two feet high. Schools are closed today so I am home enjoying the warm house.

Nope, just a couple minutes killed re-stacking them. What a pain in the neck.

Belt and suspenders...sand it, then wipe it down with a good wax/grease remover, prime it (according to paint directions), then hit it with one of the many spray paints made for plastic now. Even then it may still have to be redone in a few years...even factory paint comes off the plastic parts frequently...

Paneling the front of the house is almost done, WWW found enough scrap at the shop to do laundry room, that darn 7x7 ell has been a wind tunnel since we moved here. I was taping newspaper and trash bags over the windows tonight, (for privacy, too weird to catch eye contact all day long for me and them, they are trying to work, not wave at me...), wow, 2 windows are really drafting. The other tell tale was fine silt dust on both sills. We'll address that after the work is done, I don't even care if we seal them shut with expanding foam, I have other windows on 3 sides of the house that work well and seal shut for when we need ventilation/cross breeze during our short summer months. Yay, even warmer, especially with the rise in prices for electricity and pellets etc. !!

I used an 80 grit disc to give it more bite. 2 light coats of primer then 2 light coats of color followed by 2 medium as per can.

Not crazy about the Duplicolor paint. Looks better than it did though.

Rained yesterday but managed to finish one more post and stand it up on the garage.[IMG]

On another note, for the last two years I have driven by this grown over yard house that’s had a pile of log logs laying in the yard under grass grown over. Probably about a cord if CSS. No movement in two years.
After dropping granddaughter off at her daycare I stopped there on the way home and knocked on the door and asked about it.
No we’re going to burn it they said.
Betcha two more years of driving by it will stay the same till it rots away.

You sure get around! About how many miles do you rack up? My mother was from the Houlton area. Always noted how different their weather was from ours here. I really think being this close to the ocean offers us a different climate. You must really notice it as you drive all over the state. I don't go much of anyplace anymore. Togus VA hosp. is about 3 miles away and that is where I go the most. There is a new Harbour Freight that just opened at the old Sears store in Augusta. I would really like to go look around once I get stronger. Problem is there isn't a darn thing I think I need.
