47 headed to 53 today. I threw a couple chunks and uglies of oak and mulberry in this morning before I left.

Morso has been doing a nice job keeping the gas furnace dormant for the most part. Have a couple more weeks worth of odds and ends before I fire up the wood furnace. Some oak chunks this morning. Supposed to get no higher than the 42 today. Overnight lows in the 30s.

Thanks! $50 on CL and I didn’t bother haggling. You don’t see many paintings framed in rope! It’s just signed “Matt” or “Doug” or something like that.  I wish that guy knew his artwork had a place of honor in our home.

Expecting it to drop to the high 20s by morning, still warmish at 45 now. At it again with red oak and red maple.

30 now. Don't know if we will get that snowfall or not. Some are calling for it and then some say less than 5".

38/75. Put one split of chestnut oak on the coals this morning and pinched off the draft after getting it going. Supposed to be 50 today and mid 50's tomorrow.

High of 62 today and then supposed to cool down tonight.

I was given about 2 cord of less than premium firewood over the weekend, but it was split and ready to burn. Still trying to figure out how much to load. Last night and this morning there were only a few coals left. I'm going to have to start mixing it with some of the good stuff when it cools down to get through the night.

That kind of wood is perfect for in between fires or for shoulder season. Sometimes I wish I had more spruce to to span the longer burns I do.
-25c/-13f under clear skies. Fir and Larch in the box. Have a great day everyone!

Nice and calm at 31 here, holding steady overnight. It’s going to get warm, wet and wild tomorrow :picard:Burning a mix of red oak, mulberry and one barkless black locust split at the moment.

31F/71F.... Started out when i left for work at like 50F this morning with a south wind. Sometime during the day things changed... We got a stiff North wind and we are coming down... Just loaded a preliminary load of cherry to bump the temp before I hit it with another load in a couple of hours...
