Sugar maple and ash already cut to size

I picked this up from my buddy's GF's house before Thanksgiving. It was a FULL and very heavy load in the 4x8. I won't load it more than that ever. I had a couple extra longer limbs of sugar maple that were 1 splitters that I put in the bed of my truck. No sugar maple left behind. I wish I had pictures, but my phone died and I had to unload the trailer to recycle a bunch of steel.
Here's what I got, plus some long pieces that needed cutting.On the right.

I went up to get the ms170 to cut the long pieces to length, then I split those.

You can see my honey locust ugly chunks under that piece of plywood. I'll have to bring those up for use as they are ready.
I left some big ash half rounds there planning to go back for them, but my buddy got bored and split those up over Thanksgiving. Oh well. I think I'll be able to get big halves of red oak from my buddy's house, as he wants to get those moved. It might end up even being even a better deal for me. I hate driving to the north side of Milwaukee to his GF's, and red oak is better than ash.

 

Nice pile of splits there! How far is the ride for the red oak? Is oak scarce score for you?

Oak is all over around here, we just don't get a lot that need cutting. I've got so much ash since the eab hit here that I'll be swimming in ash for a while.

15 miles to this oak. I've got a bunch from this same tree in next year's stacks.

Y'all must be real tight...I mean the guy's lettin ya load up his girlfriends ash...that's a good friend indeed!

 

Not touching that with a ten foot pole. Firewood though, I'm game.
