    I follow a bunch of felling guys on other social media places. I've seen this used many times. Prevents the log from rolling down hill and I've seen it used to fell trees right next to houses. It would prevent the butt rolling or bouncing back into the house.

    IMO, pretty skilled technique.





    I'll try and find the video of the one right smack up against a house.
