I had back surgery 18 and a half years ago. I started having back pain that radiated down my right leg this time. It was my left leg back in 2004. I had an MRI this past Wednesday and it looks like I may be going under the knife again. I am waiting on hearing from the neurosurgeon. A call should come sometime next week. I am blessed to have good neighbors who are willing to keep my wood supply at the house topped off.
That’s crappy news. Sorry you have another back injury that requires surgery. I hope the surgery relieves your pain and restores full mobility.
So sorry to hear you need another back surgery. How was heal up time on the first surgery? Not that it'll be the same this time by any measure.
The first time around I waited much too long. I was in agony for months before I went in. When I woke up from surgery the pain was gone. It was like someone flipped a switch and the pain was history. I will be hearing from the surgeon sometime next week.
Good luck Eric. It sounds good that the pain was gone after surgery. Sad to say it did not work that way for any of my 3 back surgeries, but I can still walk.
Hard to like that, I have 2 bulged discs that is causing sciatica doc keeps bringing up possible surgery. Hope you don't need to go back under.
I was thinking that was the issue if they wanted to do surgery. I think my doc is being a little quick with that suggestion for me. I just attempt to stay moving and stretch to keep mine at bay. bulged is nothing though to a herniated. I can't imagine to be honest because there are times when I feel like I need to manually make my one leg move with my issue.

One thing I've never had is back issues but then I'm always careful when lifting or pulling something heavy. I do know that back issues can ruin your day..
Hopefully they made progress in the 18 years for quicker healing, less invasive procedures. Thoughts are with you!
