I just helped my Amish neighbor get a buck out of the woods and to his home. 430 this afternoon chasing a doe. 160 yards with a 243Win. 9 points 19 1/2” inside spread. Longest tines 12”.
Passed up on a "basket" 6 point this morning that was hanging out under my stand for 45 minutes with his spike brother. We'll see what happens in the next 2 week.
Opening PA rifle this morning. Bunch of doe wandering through at first light. Just enjoying the weather now waiting on a shot. No snow here vs slushy mess at home is really nice.
You lucked out on weather, that's for sure. It was record cold in Wisconsin last weekend for our opening weekend. It was 4° when I got mine.
Opening day. I hunted Sika in the morning but no horns… came home for WT’s this evening, my next target buck was across the field and 5’ inside the wood edge at 3:55pm, he messed up LOL!! Home before dark enjoying a beverage!
