I’ve lucked out getting wood from several neighbors over the past few years. There are only 25 houses in our subdivision. All on wooded 3 acre lots. I’ve now scored some red oak from my 5th neighbor!

The best part … he did all cutting of the felled trees in the front yard and stacked it all for me on the road! He’s got another 4 or 5 I’ll help him cut up in a few weeks.

only way to beat that nice score is if it were split delivered and stacked . the guy did a good job of cutting it , pretty even in length too.

Splitting is the fun part for me. Stacking, not so much.

    Yeah, he did do good!

I second that. I hate to stack and I am not too good at it.

    Great score rustyknife!

I always joke that my stacks look like half played games of Jenga. If I get dry stuff, that I'm going to burn in a few months, I just started throwing it in a pile.

I can relate to the pile. I have a good size pile I am burning from now. I was going to stack it but haven’t gotten to it. At this point I might just wait. Then a lot of it will have been burned so only half the work. I need to start splitting and stacking as I go but have failed on doing that up to this point.

Probably started with one neighbor getting some tree work and 4 other neighbors noticing. At least that seems to be the case here a lot! Awesome opportunity for you:yes: How much do you think you’ll end up with total?

Well your neighbor isn’t afraid of chainsaws and a little work. That was quite an effort. Great score, lots of fun ahead.
