It’s my understanding coal has been banned in a few areas. I think there’s a few small areas that banned wood also. There’s a mad rush to buy and install woodstoves in the UK right now. Mad rush to find wood. Lots of pallets meeting an untimely demise. There’s a large contingent of burners that feel scrounging wood is illegal. The Brits have a long history of being told what they can and can’t do. After this winter I’d expect to see more strife between the burners and the greenies. Hoping this is a joke but who knows People know hell is on the way.
What the fellow in the video was saying that he allows rain to wash out the sap and then advises to let it dry and season for at least a year, best two. Now I don't want to necessarily bring up a negative perspective just one that says rain doesn't wash off the sap. I'm still learning but there was something about having wood being rained on then split and stacked to dry but wasn't sure what rain had anything to do with sap and drying firewood "better".
