So I couldnt help but head for the long awaited ash score today, and whack a few rounds. Lots of sleep, and errands done, hitting the score was the last to do item. We went without the trailer, just to split, and be governed by how we felt, not being compelled to fill the trailer.

It was a cool day with a perfect breeze. No sweat worked up, just a nice relaxing chop session. Maybe 1/4 cord of Ash was split in an hour. The dog kept us entertained as usual.

This is still the wood BuZZsaw helped us cut. There's maybe a cord or two left to split, and a cord yet to be cut to shorts for a friend. 20221118_122632.jpg

Beautiful dog (and nice score on the firewood as well). Shepherds and firewood hoarding are a natural combination.

    That is a great pic!
    How old ?
Perhaps it's a GSD thing to be ready to climb any pile? Ours does, and without being told to on occasion, especially if we're up on the pile.

He was five and half in that picture and I agree, he loves to climb.

Welcome to the forum Sirchopsalot Jr.

That is a lot of work splitting but ash does make the task a bit lighter. What's with that log behind the dog? Presplit?
