A new build in the battery. Thats a big deal. It's a new house on an old foundation. Not a bad spot. Fiber cement siding may not hold up the best in the salt air over time though.

I got the boat into storage this morning, picked up a load of ash and locust. And a new Roku remote. We were sick of replacing aaa batteries in the original remote. This new one has a rechargeable battery. I unloaded the load of wood I need to split, and then filled the trailer with scrap steel to take to the recycler after work tomorrow. I'm taking the trailer to work so I can literally get it to the recycler and then to the range to shoot a few rounds in the m77 7mm rem mag and the 300 win mag BAR before daylight goes away.

Dreary, damp, and chilly here today. It was sunny and 75 a week ago. That and the time change have me all out of sorts.

Headed on an open ended road trip tomorrow. First stop is Chiraq...then not sure where. Should be back by Friday though.

This (more or less) seaside Port aux Basques home seems to have escaped harm during that horrible storm. It's up for sale for 119,000 bucks (89,642 USD). Not the style I'd build if I was building, but it's a traditional old time style and it's pretty cute. It's had a couple modern-rustic touches added, still a lot of potential left. I like that little office off of the bedroom. Has been used as an air BnB lately with a very successful season this year. Those front windows look like a face...

Took my daughter to school. Roads are treacherous. Then called my Nephew and Niece’s garage for new tires for my wife’s CRV. Thems need replacin like will711 ’s beer supply on Monday morning!

Today I plan on moving firewood from outdoor stacks to under the porch. Light snow won’t bug me but it is suppose to turn to rain by noon.

From what we saw on the news, it must be the last house standing. Nice looking house.

Wife out of town for a couple days. Luckily I’m on two days off. So duties include all animal care, teenager taxi service, and will be moving firewood as well.

I’ve always wanted to own a Suburban, but never wanted to pay the price. I was trying to sell the Ridgeline and did right after my Dad passed away. I decided I was going to make it happen right then. But I also needed a workhorse that I could plow snow with and pull a decent size trailer if needed.

Was able to find a 2013 2500 LS that has the extra towing options from the factory and that was well cared for. Price left room in the budget for a plow. 98,000 miles……

Not enough snow to worry about plowing but I’m practicing taking it off and putting it on. Ready for winter now.

I also wanted a road trip vehicle capable of hauling 5 comfortably and our luggage. Our two oldest teens are in their first year of college so we have 4 years of still be able to take trips for a week or long weekend. And the price of plane tickets keeps going up! This will be more enjoyable family time and serve several purposes.
