After hunting this morning I decided to split up some rich pine. Now remember here lately my track record for injuries is up up there. Well second swing of my boys axe and the haft breaks, head comes down hits me between my index finger and my thumb. Pretty bad cut. It was sharp. I super glued and bandaged it. Mom is an rn will get her to look at it after the evening hunt. Be safe.

Dang, that stinks. Hope she can fix you up.
My wife is an RN too and she just asked me the other day if I’d let her stitch me up if it was ever needed. o_O I said sure as long as it was numbed first. :smoke:

She put 12 stitches in lt. Guess it was a little worse than I thought. Good news is super glue held until hunt was over. Didn't think it would as wide a cut as it was

    zowee!
I hear you on having a nurse on hand outside of the official network.
I've had a few injuries I went in to have fixed, but had a young dame who came over to pull stitches and check things out from time to time. That was nice.
    Man, be careful out there!!

Sometimes living with a medical professional works against you. Living with my mom we were never sick enough to stay home from school. Once a doctor told her I had to stay home from school for 3 days. We never saw that doctor again. Other than chicken pox that was the only other time I missed school.
