P.T. Barnum, founder of the famous Barnum & Bailey Circus, is often given credit for the quote. But it actually came from his rival David Hannum. During the late 1860s, the two men each displayed a giant person who had fossilized and turned to stone. Barnum knew his was a fake, but Hannum -- who had paid a high price for his oddity -- believed his giant was real. Hannum said, "There's a sucker born every minute," in reference to those who paid to see Barnum's "fake" giant as opposed to his "real" one. Only later did Hannum learn he'd been duped, too.

Not craigslist but still a good laugh.

Went to pick it up and the wind had blown it all away, haha.

    Thank you.

The box was my idea. The noodles were Barcroftb 's idea. My wife had it made by a guy she worked with that retired and does custom wood projects for extra $$. He made these matching maple dressers for us as well as two matching nightstands. He does fine work and is reasonably priced.

    Nice looking woodwork as well.

I am still looking for an old saw to restore , when I finally find one I will look into doing something similar.

Thank you. I found a picture of the dresser online. Pottery barn dresser that someone had plans for. Showed my wife and she was all about it. We texted him the link and he said no problem. We gave him the dimensions we needed for the night stands as there were no plans. She was apprehensive about the maple because of how light it is. I said it will go good with the light areas of the white cedar walls. She agreed after they were installed. She's happy as am I. They were supposed to have three different designs of pulls but we couldn't find what we wanted so they have two.

And it's not even in great shape! Stains and defects. I cropped them out, but let's just say the seller included many pics that a potential buyer might want to see.
