I've lost a couple screws off the pull cord side of a couple of saws. I salvaged a couple off a junked saw. But realized im missing another. They are $4/ea at the husky shop. And HD didnt seem to have them in the right size or thread size. Are there alternatives to buying expensive name brand stuff? Not that I'll loose more, but keeping extras is par for the course here.
So in 12 years of cutting, I've lost one. I use blue loctite on every screw when I work on em or get a new one. You can get cheapies if you don't mind chinesium. I Picked up 2 from the dealer, have one I must not have tightened completely in the field. Ill pay more attention, but like having extras. I keep a couple extra bar nuts handy for the same reason. Just hate paying $4 if I could find something in ss for $2. Will check out that site! Thanks.
