Looking to replace our Harman TL300. This was a good stove but takes work to get it to burn properly. After 12 years it’s time to move on. Thinking about the Jutol F500 v3 Oslo. Have looked at many stoves and like the burner style on the F500. Any good or bad comments before I pull the trigger?

We have the Jotul Oslo and have been extremely happy with it going on 20 years. Ours is a pre-cat model and though we don’t have as long a burn season as many do here on FHC it will likely out live us.

Our two sons have also purchased Jotul as well as a friend of ours based on seeing and talking to us about ours and all are well pleased

I like my pre-2020 Jotul, but you may want to search the internet a bit about the v3 Oslo. There were some issues with the cat, at least at first.

If I was gonna get a new Jotul I would probably get the F55.

3cu ft firebox compared to 2.5 on the Oslo.

    no cat to deal with.

I’ve seen there are 2 holes on the sides of the ash pan, people put magnets to cover the holes and the stove is much more controllable
