I figured out how to get it show on screen AND get sound at the same time WOOOO!. However when I put in dvd for dear daughter is stops playing every several minutes. I dont even understand the remote or face panel. what happened to play, stop, ff and rw?

Thank you for any input, putting a movie in for the toddler would be a great help while cooped up during rains in the RV..

Hope this helps on the basics. I'm not sure why it would stop every few minutes. Does it say anything when it stops? You might need to clean the disk or player.

WOW, thank you! Exactly some the info I need:thumbs:

I guess I used a pic of an older remote, mine has a lightning bolt on the play button as well, but atleast I know which one now! Do you know if the button works like abc on the the #1 phone keypad?

Many of her movies are bluray, so we brought out 3 that were dvd for the RV player, they now probably have goo on them that shouldnt be there from toddler hands...I will clean all 3 discs and experiment next week.

It does not say anything, just freezes with pic showing. Got desperate and started pressing random buttons, the only one that works is "skip ahead to", though the intervals of minutes between freezing become progressively shorter the more times I use it.

I miss VCR's with corded remotes and 5 buttons.

Are they well used DVD's? I had a bunch of my sons videos do that. I can only assume it was either a dirty disk or over played. If its not anything that you can control, then it could be the machine. Hopefully not.
I totally get it with the VCR. We have several VCR's that we still use and sometimes it's just plain easier to use. Plus its easier to skip all the commercials at the beginning of the movies. LOL
Usually the number keys dont work like a phone. If you need to type in text, usually there is an onscreen keyboard. You would use your arrow keys and the enter button to navigate that.
