Got our first measurable snow early AM on Thursday. Hi temps in the 30’s, lows in the teens the past few nights, beautiful winter scenery, Hwy 285 becoming a cluster (Cash Larue)…Winter has arrived at 9,000ft!
Beautiful pics and scenery! Anxiously looking forward to some measurable snowfall here in the central PA mtns. I'm good for at least another month, though....
Most beautiful. We're ready here, but I have a couple weeks worth of wood splitting to get done. OTOH, whatever's left will get me out of the house now and again in the winter.
We are looking at a 7+ day stretch of low to mid 70's here which is about 10-15 degrees above average for this time of year.
Yep mid 60s for daytime highs the next several days here as well. Pretty much par for the course anymore this time of year.
Chiggers and ticks are still very active. We've had some light frosts but not enough to kill them bastids off yet.
The older I get the more I dislike snow. Maybe in 5 years when able to retire and stay home, then maybe I can learn to appreciate it again. It could stay around 50's and then start warming up in April.
