Had a red oak die this summer. I put it on the hit list for a time other things weren't as pressing. Cloudy misty morning so today was as good as any to put on the ground. It was in the corner of the fence with a bit of a back lean over the fence. I took it slow and wedged the heck out of it and down it went. Bucked it up and stacked it in the "to be split" pile for later.
Good job on getting it down right along the fence. Reading the lean is just as important as making the cuts. Good job.
