We were just down in Mohnton a few weeks ago at the top fuel races at Maple Growe Raceway. I'm up in Blair County, near State College.

We had a HearthStone II that was in our house for over 30 years. I am looking at the possibility of moving my current wood stove back to our family room and purchasing a new Hearthstone. I do not see the Homestead a model. I see the Castleton (smallest at 1.9 cu ft firebox with no side door), Heritage (2.2 cu ft firebox with left or right door) and the big dog Mansfield (3.2 cu ft firebox ). Please let me know where I can find the Homestead details.

I'll be interested to know if people are using far less wood with Hearthstone's TruHybrid technology.

Unfortunately the Homestead model was discontinued because it is no longer EPA compliant. I was lucky to find a small family owned store that gave me a good price on it.

I had the Hearthstone II some years back and burned coal in it. It worked well for us for many years until the coal ate it up. There's a gentleman in Vermont who refurbishes Hearthstones and does a beautiful job. That's where I got my Hearthstone I for $ 1200.00.Want his number ?

Wish I had known that before I got rid of it.
