Well Jason is a Husky guy. If they offered him a 500i instead he'd probably decline!

I agree 110%, but Jason may turn that down too! An 090 would be the most bestest. Never have handled one, hows about you Jim?

Finished off the small log this evening. Fresh chain, saw cut like a hot knife through buttah.

Those look amazing! I'm just about to the point where I can get my honey locust logs set up and start milling them. You're progress is making me antsy. Lol

How many cuts are you getting before you have to sharpen your chain?

    Edit: Is this 3/8" chain?

After 5-6 I'm swapping the chain out for fresh. Feeling cutters, they still have sharpness but with a grinder (or a file for that matter), it makes touch ups go very quick. Yes, it's 3/8 full chisel full skip.

Lol, nope. I won't be there much longer. Think I might switch to firewood next visit.

Wow, that's quite a bit of cutting for one chain. I wouldn't have guessed you got that much out of each sharpening. That's good news. Thanks for bringing us along man! I know I've sure appreciated it.

On location @ 5p, left at 630. Trimmed the side to 35” then put saw in the mill and set up first cut guide. Glad to mill this stuff, it’s purdy.

Told homeowner I’d need what’s left up off the ground a little if he wanted me to continue.

Are you getting any of the slabs, or are those all for him?

Edit: Not trying to be too nosey.

Nope, all his. I have way more slabs than one man needs on this property. I need to start using some before I mill more.

No, I didn't. He's going to lift that last piece and put something under it so I can mill a few more slices.
