A few years back my wife bought some thermal curtains from Kmart and they do seem to work quite well. they don't carry them anymore and we need to buy some for my daughters room this fall because she just has valences and it tends to get cooler in her room than in the rooms with the thermal curtains.

I've seen a bunch of them at Target, Kohl's, Amazon etc etc

Does anyone have any first hand experience with a particular brand?

We use the thermal ones that are always going on clearance at Walmart. Can't remember the brand name, but I think it might be Eclipse or have a illustration of an eclipse on the packaging.

    So they work pretty well?

Yeah, both for blackout and for keeping heat/cold out. It's a whole different climate on the other side of the curtain.

No problem. Check the stores, seems like they always have a bunch on clearance.
