ARCTIC AIR WILL MOVE IN BEHIND THE CURRENT STORM SYSTEM RESULTING
IN COLDER THAN NORMAL TEMPERATURES ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHCENTRAL
ALASKA THIS WEEKEND...ESPECIALLY DURING THE OVERNIGHT AND EARLY
MORNING HOURS. THE COLDER AIR WILL ARRIVE FIRST IN THE NORTHERN
SUSITNA VALLEY AND ALONG THE DENALI HIGHWAY FROM CANTWELL TO
PAXSON FRIDAY NIGHT...POSSIBLY PRODUCING SOME MINOR SNOW
ACCUMULATION BEFORE PRECIPITATION TAPERS OFF LATE FRIDAY NIGHT.

SKIES WILL GRADUALLY CLEAR OUT FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS SOUTHCENTRAL
FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. TEMPERATURES WILL DIP INTO
THE 30S IN THE TYPICALLY COLDER LOCATIONS EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.
EVEN COLDER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED BY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...

    Yea
At your elevation you could have snow anytime now.

To be in the 30s at night this week. Forecast for 36° Friday night.
Frost anytime now , if it clears up.
    Raining now, 53°.

I gotta get the steak first, still out there running around somewhere. LOL :)

Talk about waiting to the last minute!

You have such a way with women.
Cold weather is like parallel parking, most want nothing to do with it .

I'm heading for the ocean soon, when I get back "weather come as you may" cold, snow, wind, but I'd prefer no power outages

Lots of places in MI have been in the 30's for overnight lows this week. The coldest I remember finding was 36 or 38; don't remember which. We got a little warmer today at 73 but very humid with a stiff south wind. Yuck.

I went back over to tell the girl that called me an azz that if she didn't apologize bogydave would send down a low pressure system that would sit an spin over her house all winter long, she apologized.

Those temperatures for Woodwidow and myself only seem to come for a week or so around wintertime!  And rain you don't have to shovel, but it's the continual gray overcast that really makes one miss the sun and that brightness after a snowfall!

They are just starting to change color. Had a couple laying in the yard.
I cut the grass today despite this "snow warning"

Was 42* in the AM, got up to I think 59*. A bit chilly.

Starting to fall, will start falling more from here on out.
Light frost here last night, Zucchini plants look sick.

Was at moose camp last night , heavy frost there. Leaves falling big time when the sun came up. :)

Some trees looking yellow, some still mostly green
Ran out just now, took a couple pics:

Keep the pictures coming especially when the leaves really start to turn. :popcorn:Without any real serious frosts the leaves on the alders never turn they just fall off .

Next trip to moose camp should be some good colors.

    Yea
same for our alders. They drop green leaves. Tough plant.

I'm ready for some cooler weather....it was very warm here the past couple days and humidity so thick you could cut it with a knife. Supposed to be near 90° her at some point this week.....Been cold all summer now it wants to get hot? Bring on the cold I say!

Around here don't really get much color. It's all yellow what does change. No nice reds, orange, and all that like in Maine.

Between that, always overcast, and the soggy everything with all the rain and the stink of rotting leaves (I can't describe, but imagine the bottom of a septic tank mixed with a dead hooker) fall isn't all that nice.

I wouldn't mind summer as we had about 3 days of somewhat "warm" and that was about it. I can count on one hand the times I actually was sweating while working.
