You are gonna love it. Ive owned a couple in the last three years. My first was a plain 261 (sold it) and current is the Mtronic version. My go to saw. Enjoy it and post lots of pics.

I ran my 290 side by side with the 261. Eventually the 290 became a shelf queen and got sold. Not knocking a 290 as it cut a lot of wood for me. Reliable saw for what it is. My first 261 came with a 20" bar that worked well, but with my cutting habits i prefer running a 16" on it.

    I have a 36” on my 661. Looking for a 500i with the 25”. As you can see I got the 261 with the 20” so I can swap chains with the 290. Can’t believe I’ve had the 290 for 11 years…

661?? need to update your sig line! My 500 came with a 25 iirc. either that or 28"

I seldom run a 36 as a 25 or 28 is the maximum bar id normally use for bigger wood. Kinda wished i had a higher CC saw for this cut and that bar. Have seen a few 066/660/661's for sale recently and have thought of pulling the trigger but havent.

Out front is a 372XPW next two are 572s and the one in back is a 592. And yes the new 592 is a beast, very impressive power and throttle response.

The 017 was my timber faller brother's climbing saw he gave it me in 02
I gave it my nephew soon after
    I don't use small saws
My nephew has used it ever since that is one tough saw it's on it's 4th bar
Understand my nephew is only allowed to cut downed tree's after I caught him trying cut a large oak by walking around it cutting horizontally
He's a master plumber not a saw man
But he does a lot of downed tree cleanup and clears roads after storms.

That was a recipe for disaster. Good thing you caught him. I'll be in this one soon. Carb arrived today. I have my Sachs Dolmar apart in the process of porting it currently.
