Put a ms250 carb on it just block off the carb impulse on the carb.
And drill many holes in the air box
    Open the muffler some
    You'll be surprised
    I did that 15 year's ago for a 017 I gave my nephew
It's the only saw he'll run.

Not a 500i....too much dough, and don't like the way it feels...plus I don't want to be like everybody else....
I'd prolly buy a 462.....or, I might just go down the street and buy the husky 390 I've been waiting for years.

Did some 50cc saw comparison the other day.
    353, ms261, and shindaiwa 492.
All running 20" with .325 chisel chain.

353 wins in the handling department, 261 is fastest and most expensive, and the 492 is the lightest, cheapest, and has the worst av.
All three are great saws in their own way.
I'm hoping to do a bunch more side by side testing this winter with the three of these plus my 346xp.

We did. First time he's met my sister and brother in law. That gully those pieces were being dragged out of is way steeper than it looks. You have to use the chain to walk your way up at times. 25-30 ft down from flat land.

Yep. Its cool to see. That 462 is a ripper with only a muffler mod and timing advance.

I assume you mean the shindaiwa because it's an echo product.....
All three saws are 50cc's.....the Stihl is a screamer, (but you know all about the 261) the husky is a nice balance of speed and torque, while the shindaiwa/ echo pretty much relies on torque because it doesn't have much high end stuff.
However, the shindaiwa is new and has had only 2 tanks of fuel through it now, and echo saws are known for picking up a noticable amount power after 10-20 tanks of gas...... that has definitely been my experience with my cs620p... Of course more break in time ain't gonna help the av quality any.

Oh no. He comes well prepared. He had with him a ported ms201, ported ms241, ported ms261, i think it's ported, and the muff modded / timing advanced 462 hes cutting with in the vids. Its all he used today. Lol
    I just took my 241.
