How much wood fits in a 7x16’ trailer

I sell firewood by the Tacoma load. A guy wants to bring his trailer by and fill it up. I’ve never filled a trailer, so I don’t know how much it will hold, or what to charge for that much wood. It has 12” sideboards, but I imagine it will be piled deeper in the middle.
Anyone have experience with this size trailer and know how much loose thrown it would hold? What if he wants to stack the trailer?
What would you charge?

.87 sounds correct. I have a 7'X18 trailer and load it neatly and tight to obtain a full cord. I round it up to 13" or so inches just to make sure. Just thrown in loosely would be a mystery unless you measure it before loading.

Are your stacks stacked ? Could you have a full cord stack, 1/2 cord stack and a rank stack? Then he buys the pile, if it is more than a trailer load he has to come back. If 1/2 cord half fills it, buy another 1/2. That way he can see. the amount up front and no guessing on anyone's part.

Thanks for the help. Between the trailer and his dually we can get a cord on. Maneuvering the two through my wood yard will be the biggest challenge. Still waiting to hear if he’s willing to pay Knoxville prices.

It works well too. I’ve been selling half cords tossed on my trailer. I give a little extra because they’re friends and just because. When they stack it it’s always spot on to what I’d expect. A little over half a cord with no cribbed corners, just right.
