I've seen a couple new requests on FB looking for wood. We picked up 1 new delivery so far this year. Hasn't gotten cold enough to get their attention yet......like winter doesn't come each year...

Well hi there Lady Pain is pretty much gone thankfully! But they did not "knit", if I roll onto my left in bed or sometimes bending over the wrong way they click and pop. One in the front and 2 breaks in the back. It's so creepy!!! Nice scenery
Delivered another load yesterday afternoon and then we went to a BBQ place with that couple...since last year when they got wood from us, that have added a lean-to truck shelter that keeps the wood dry. That helps alot. This is the 1st pile that we used the conveyor on. We have pulled a good full cord (3 truck loads) from it so far. Still have a good bit left.
A neighbor saved the good wood from a big tree the fell in his yard. We picked it up last week Used the little MS180, 14" b/ full chisel chain to buck logs for loading and firewood rounds. Thats a 14 " trunk. Got all but 2 logs from that trailer load bucked by 8:10 PM, about an hour of work. Fired up Blue Samson and split for an hour, had these 21 rounds left... After a dinner/rest break, I came back by myself at 10:45PM. Finished those rounds by 12 midnight. It's the really pretty red oak on the left side...going to put it in totes for the BBQ restaurant.
Worked the nite shift again, finished up the 2 logs left from the night before and added 4 more from the older oak stack. Started out using the Husky 55, but had trigger linkage problems. Let the XS029 take over cutting duties Got it all split by 11:00. Got a nice pile to stack in some totes
Had a good week for firewood... Put a truck load on the dump trailer, picked up tractor on the return trip Then loaded more oak for the restaurant...he said he was very happy with our firewood... That afternoon, a coworker came over and got all the pecan we had split. He cooked about 8 pork bellies this weekend... Saturday morning, we split a load of green oak, they are getting ahead on their supply...he stated that was a beautiful load of wood... My nephew came down and helped, was great to spend some time with him...
Truth is spoken here. I usually get curved limbs and whatnot but those trunks make all the difference being straight. Nice job Jeff!
