I'm much better as of this am, but man am I using a lot of Kleenex and coughing up gunk still. I'm dying even better tonight, but there's still snot. Yep. Snot.
to keep your nose from getting red and chapped, use fabric handkerchiefs. The wood fibre in Kleenex is too rough when your nose is wet. Tear up an old sheet or old t-sheets which can be washed over again. Old t-sheets won't fray when they get washed. If I use an old sheet, I edge stitch around the square with the sewing machine.
I'm sorry We had something go through here late this summer and the lung/nose was prolific for weeks.
I posted these pictures on another thread but though maybe everyone would not see it. Two friends drug them out of a lake.
Been dreary with rain pretty much all day. Was able to get out and walk a bit. Will do that again in between rains. Maybe even try a little running. Got the Wood Gun boiler going again about an hour ago. Yesterday after I cleaned the chimney I chipped off all the sealant on interior exhaust pipe to chimney and cleaned it all up. Then re-sealed the pipe and let it cure for 24 hours. So far so good. It is coming back up to temperature slow but sure.
My Goodness (or badness). I should have brought an armed guard with me to get two pieces of stovepipe home to get my shop stove into the 3-2-10 requirement. 300 bucks for 2 pieces of 36” pipe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks great. Nice work. Did you get the adjustable support rods for it? They will save your chimney, and save you a lot of aggravation.
With the distance from lower brace I would definitely add them. Look like this…. Are adjustable. Will save you a major headache of the wind bringing your chimney over. And you can almost be guaranteed it will happen when it’s very cold and miserable out.
