The feline sales rep must be doing his job very well. The store has built on a huge addition to the building.
Lost power yesterday for about 5-6 hours. Lit off the basement wood stove-NC-30 thank you Englander-and kept the house nice until the power came back on at bedtime. Snowing, blowing all day and then windy overnight. Area schools were closed due to the secondary roads. Talked to one guy and he said there was at least 2" slush that he drove through........causing the truck to take a different direction every now and then! 14" of heart attack snow is what radio station reported for the event. I shoveled the steps and deck a couple of times, but will let the driveway snow go away by itself.
Bet you are regretting not getting those solar panels now Dave! They work great covered in a foot of snow when you really need electricity.
A little under the weather this afternoon. Think I’m wore out. Off to bed early tonight for sure. Got to watch The Yankees WIN! And they are moving onto the ALCS against The Astros. Will be tough to beat them. They had a hard time against the Gaurdians, but prevailed today.
Fished this evening again up until now. Lost a nice one at the dock again. It spit the hook at me and laughed! The shack warmed up nicely form 37 to 75 in short order. That mini wood stove is earning it's keep once again.
Yep, me too. Got a ton of work done Friday and Saturday, then Sunday I was full on flu/ cold. Congestion, headache, snot, snot and some more snot. I felt much better today, but skipped my usual Tuesday workout with the trainer at work, I feel guilty about not working out today. First day I've skipped since I started working out back in January. I'll be back in the gym Thursday.
Oh wow. Hope you feel better man. I was lucky to not be that kind of under the weather. I was just wore right out. And had some chills. But went to bed early and slept well. Starting to feel better already. Will hopefully get some more rest today in between chores. Caffeine!
Heights today…. Fixed some loose metal on side(end) of house just under the roof. Wind had gotten to it and shaked the little colored nails right out. Caused a small leak and a little water would get inside when it rained hard. Metal roofing screws and my impact driver took care of that! Used my extension pole saw and cleaned the cap of chimney while I was up there. All done and down now. Gladly. Windy up there.
Well, it’s official, fall is here. We started our first fire of the season this morning. It went down below 32º last night and the car windows were frozen up pretty good. The house was 60º this morning, but it warmed up quickly.
