my NZ3000 has a "summer bypass" option.....supposed to make all of the draft air come from the ambient room air. But that thing radiates a TON of heat, so I'll wait just a little longer. First really 'cool' evening we have and I'll be opening all the windows and knockin the cobwebs out of her......

Yep, not only do you need to season the firewood, you need to season the stove. You wouldn't want the stove to crack would you? You wouldn't let a car go down the highway in Feb without warming it up first would you?
