Happened to be on the job that the pile of logs is on. Decided to go ahead and sort out what I wanted.

That whole pile is getting moved to my house in 8’ lengths. If my guesstimating is correct I will have 40-50 8 foot logs

Congrats on the wood score, and being a true hoarder by taking the whole pile

Well I didn’t technically take the whole pile. LOL. There are some big logs up there that are pretty gnarly and a guy that lives by the job stopped and asked if he could have some of the big ones. So I told him he could take the big ones because I’m not going to fool with them.

Nice score, what types of firewood will you be getting from the logs?

Spent 3 hours yesterday and 3 1/2 today on the pile. I have all but 2 logs I’m taking cut into 7 or 8 footers. Headed home with the second load now. Looks like I’m going to end up with 56 logs and some uglies.

I would have been there for 3 1/2 months if I didn’t have that loader :D Easiest logs I have ever cut, strung out 6 or 8 at a time, cut them and then stacked them with the loader.
