Forty something here, frost advisory tonight.

Not burning hard oak yet, still going through pine, poplar, an oak shorty or two. I have a buncha uglies to get through, they don't fit in the stove nicely for stove-tetris.

Maybe I'll run the gas unit tomorrow for a few minutes, just to be sure it runs still.

Not ready for cold weather already. That said, at least we're getting some fall this year instead of instant summer to winter.

We are into that time of year when temperature can change fast. Warm spells become shorter and cold spells will keep getting longer while daylight hours shrink for 2 more months before going back the other way.

The 40 that was forecasted for our low ended up being 34. No complaining here :) Another load of silver maple going this morning.

Dug into the uglies this morning. They dont line up well with stove tetris, so using them up a few at a time. Part of the SS wood collection.

We had 41.1 this morning with the house still at 70 in some rooms and 71 in the living room. Last night I did have a five split ash fire, a shoulder season wood fire is going in the Lopi at the moment. The basement is 77 and it just hit 72 up here.

We had some good rains today, we'll see what tomorrow brings.

34/68, no fire. Headed to the low 70’s Tues/Wed this week. One last who-rah this year? 50’s predicted after that.
