All the bark is falling off and i have a big mess to clean up. And i got a full crate of offcuts and unstackables.
3 c is a lot in a day! Nice! That bark, if stacked to dry might make a few days of shoulder season heat. I didnt keep any for that, but used some we had laying around. Better that than in a pile I'll have to move again.... This wood is your next year?
Eh, even American or red elm isn't that bad. You can run into some nasty crotchety pieces, but those are best noodled. You'll know which are which. Some log splitters work better than others on elm as well. With these elms it's best to wait to split until the bark falls off. I'll say this though, Siberian elm is pretty easy to split.
