    I know its maple but can anyone tell me what kind I'm looking at? Got a truckload free the other day and probably going back for more. Thanks

    It's soft maple for sure, looks like red to me but it could be silver.

    Looks like red maple. Most common tree in my state. Dries fast and decent all around firewood.
